5 Items to Add to your Medicines Shopping List

You may be surprised at some of the things you can take with the expensive price at your local pharmacy.

If you need the items below, visit the nearest 24-hour pharmacy.

milk
Milk often uses special offers at drug stores. This deal makes it a ‘loser leader’ – which means that low prices are used to attract buyers to the store, hoping they will also buy more expensive items during their visit.

Do not feel that you have to take something more expensive. You can take your milk and go. And do not worry about other dairy products – unless they are also sold.

Washing Detergent
Major drugstores such as Walgreens and CVS often have sales on a large pack of detergents. This can be a fairly expensive purchase, though rare.

You can often find substantial savings on branded products like Tide. Stock if you see a sale, and think of it as an investment in saving later on the phone.

Diaper
If you are a parent, you know that the cost of a diaper can really accumulate.

At drugstores, there are regular discounts and sometimes buy-one-get one free sale (Walgreens offers this several times a year). Your purchase time is right and you can even beat a big supermarket for the price.

Bath soap
While you can also save a few dollars by buying brand-name dishwashing medicines, these shops also sell well-branded products.

If it’s not the time of sale, you might be better off going to Walmart or other big store. But if so, the price will be very much, and you would be wise to use it.

Candy
Do you want to treat yourself? Drugstores regularly put discounts and ‘buy one get one free offer’ in candy bags, chewing gum and other foods.

So if you have a sweet tooth, be sure to travel down the aisle before you leave the store.

In building Halloween, prices are falling further, so it’s probably a better option to stock up on ‘tricks or treatments’ at pharmacies than in supermarkets.

Once Halloween is done, make sure you return to the inventory for your own closet. The price is trimmed even further to make room on the shelf for the next holiday. You will probably spend pennies, not dollars, for candy.

Use Coupons and Join Loyalty Perks
Watch other surprising deals while you’re at the store, and remember to use the coupons or points offer you can collect.

Walgreens and CVS both have loyalty programs that will help you reduce the cost of your items, and both are free to join.

They also have various coupons available on their website. Some of them will reduce product costs, while others will help you accumulate points faster for future use.
